The accommodation is situated directly on the beautiful Burriana beach which has been voted the best beach on the Costa del Sol, offering water skiing, paragliding, wind surfacing along with its famous open beach restaurants in which giant Paellas are cooked over open fires directly on the beach. Our Pueblo style villas and Maisonettes are in a small cluster with their own swimming pool only yards away (see picture, the pool is filled between Easter and October). Overlooking the Burriana beach there are panoramic views of the Mediterranean which is literally only a couple of minuets walk from the accommodation to the beach and ten minuets to the characteristic Spanish town centre. There is easy close parking. The accommodation can also be made available in unit combinations which give the pleasure of accommodating a large holiday group or more than one family, yet with the space and privacy of additional facilities, all units have English cable/satellite TV. Today, Nerja, pronounced Ner-har by the locals, is still a village
of fishermen, farmers and tradesmen. It is dazzled by flowers, awed
by mountains and glowing in its warm climate. It is without doubt
the most beautiful on the Costa del Sol. Thirty miles along the cost
from Malaga, Nerja is composed of blinding white buildings perched
on a series of low cliffs around and above small coves, right on the
Mediterranean. It is a landmark for miles around.

Nerja is dominated by mountains, their towering cliffs guard the town.
Behind Nerja the great Sierra Almijara range rises in a semi-circl
some two miles inland, providing a dramatic setting for sunrises and
sunsets. Coming right down to the sea on both sides of the green fertile
plain on which Nerja is situated. It is the protective influence of
the mountains that earn Nerja the reputation for having the best climate
on the Costa del Sol, a little warmer in winter but not too hot in
summer. The winter sun ripens tomatoes, sugar cane, strawberries and
avocado pears. In December the poinsettia are in full colour. In February
the almond trees blossom. Summer in Nerja is a profusion of colour.

You will find much to see and plenty to do. The Nerja caves, ‘discovered’
in 1959 with traces of life back 3,000 years, the inside of these caves provide
settings for annual music and ballet festivals. Excellent fine sandy beaches
and coves with clear water where swimming, scuba diving, water skiing,
wind surfing and fishing can be enjoyed. Mountains for walks, pony
treks or jeep drives. Beach restaurants serving delicious Paellas cooked
in giant pans over open fires on the beach. The Balcon de Europa a
famous esplanade, with spectacular views, where coffee at outdoor café’s
becomes a ritual. Many restaurants of international standards. Traditional
bars with flamenco music and dancing waiting to be discovered in narrow
Spanish streets.

Time has not stood still however for Nerja it is the choice of discerning
holiday makers and villa owners wishing to escape from the hurly-burly
of life, yet still enjoy the highest possible standards for their rest and
recreation. Although less than an hour from Malaga airport it is a whole
world away.
