Living in the city of Jerusalem had become a nightmare, it was so full of violence and misery, the citizens desperately wanted to get rid of these fanatics. Famine and food shortages had become an everyday problem, there seemed no let up or end to these factions burning hatred for each other. Daily the fighting continued and the casualties mounted. After some three years of this anarchy the Romans return on 6th April 70.
This returned Roman army brings desolation to the Temple by burning it down early in July of the year 70, 1,290 days after withdrawing from Jerusalem at the end of December 66. Daniel 12:8 Now as for me, I heard, but I could not understand; so that I said: “O my lord, what will be the final part of these things?” Dan 12:11 “And from the time that the constant feature has been removed and there has been a placing of the disgusting thing that is causing desolation, there will be one thousand two hundred and ninety days.These 45 days when added
to the 1,290 days gives us Daniel's 1,335 days. Any who had heeded Jesus
and his representatives warning prophecy Luke
21:5 .. certain ones were speaking concerning the temple, how it was adorned
with fine stones and dedicated things, 6 he said: “As for these things that
you are beholding, the days will come in which not
a stone upon a stone will be left here and not be thrown down.”
Luke 21:20 “Furthermore, when you see Jerusalem surrounded by
encamped armies, then know that the desolating of her has drawn near. 21
Then let those in Judea begin fleeing to the mountains, and let those in
the midst of her withdraw, and let those in the country places not enter
into her; 22 because these are days for meting out justice, that all the
things written may be fulfilled. How happy were
those who heeded these warnings and fled to safety preserving their lives
from the fate that over took the thousands of inhabitants of Jerusalem who
died. This fulfilled Daniel's 1,335 day prophecy
Dan 12:12 “Happy is the one who is keeping in expectation and
who arrives at the one thousand three hundred and thirty-five days!
By now the temple is burnt, the rest of Jerusalem destroyed. The Jewish system from their capital city Jerusalem had been completely wiped out. Any rebels of the Jewish resistance who managed to escape from the siege of Jerusalem, retreated to final pockets of resistance setting up last ditch defences around the Dead Sea areas. One of the very last of these to hold out was the famous hill fortress of Masada overlooking the dead sea. Nearly three years after the Roman armies returned to lay siege to Jerusalem they come against Masada and proceeded to lay siege to it.
When it looked like there
was no hope for the defenders, the final 960 committed
suicide. The Roman armies marched into Masada on the 8th of
April 73 (16th of Xanthicus/Nisan, ref' Josephus VII-4:1-2).
After chasing fugitives and refugee bands, either capturing them
or driving them from the land, the curtain was finally brought down
on the Jewish nation and its resistance to the Romans on the world
stage. By May 73 the last ditch
hold at Masada ended, the Romans had subdued all Jewish rebellion.
The old Jewish sacrificial
arrangement was removed, a new sacrificial arrangement was over riding
it. By removing all traces of the old, the 'new' could be said to have
come into its rightful condition, the full transition had taken place.

This tribulation sign of Jesus did not undergo a complete fulfilment between 66 and 73, Jesus described the event as the 'world's greatest tribulation' in history. The destruction of Jerusalem was never the greatest of distresses to ever have occurred. Several world catastrophes have resulted in far greater distress and death than the Romans' destruction of Jerusalem (i.e. the flood, the 1st and 2nd World Wars). This supports the understanding that Jesus was alluding to a second greater application of this tribulation sign still to come, one greater than any previous world distress.
When this distress period starts in the twenty first century, it will culminate in the greatest crisis the world has ever experienced. Interestingly, Jesus says the days of this greatest of world disasters would have its duration cut short, in order to preserve the last remaining ones of the anointed Kingdom representatives living on the earth during that time. The remnant of the 144,000 living through the tribulation was illustratively role played by the apostle John, this last remaining apostle was preserved alive in order to live through this tribulation period of 66 to 73 (John 21:18-19). After all the world's religious,
political, and commercial organisations have been removed
in the Armageddon war, the world's greatest distress will
then be over. The Kingdom administration will then be ruling
not only the Heavens but also the Earth. This 'great crowd'
of survivors have the unique opportunity of forming a nucleus
of Kingdom citizens on the Earth. Just how many or how large this
group of 'other sheep' is, we are not told, except for
the description that it is a 'great unnumbered crowd'. The opportunity
to 'get out' and organise themselves around the remaining Kingdom
representatives lasts until the eighth beast renews its attack again
according to the parallel in April 2070.
CHRISTENDOM SPLITS INTO "THREE PARTS"
THE
DESOLATER RETURNS
During the first performance, the Roman armies under Titus returned on the 6th of April 70 to put down the Jewish rebellion at Jerusalem. These armies laid siege to the city, cutting off any further escape for the citizens. The internal fighting factions in Jerusalem now joined together to face this destructive common foe, fanatical in their conviction that God is fighting on their side.
Plotting these events and dates into our twenty first century parallel template, on the 6th of April 2070, the desolating Roman armies in the form of the eighth world power, after three years interruption, renews its attack on rebellious Christendom. The multi-national forces of the 8th world power besiege the great city Babylon the Great along with its internal warring factions. From now on the opportunity to escape Christendom's approaching destruction has ended. Following the pattern, the internal conflicting elements of Christendom now unite to face this attack, renewed after a three year delay. The attack becomes progressively fierce as they too refuse to compromise, believing that God is on their side.
CHRISTENDOM'S 'CONSTANT FEATURE' STOPPED
The first 1,290 day period
of Daniel can now be plotted in the twenty first century. In the second parallel performance the 'constant
feature', Christendom's allegiances and agreements made in behalf
of the eighth world power, will be broken. The eighth world
power applies retaliatory pressure to stamp out this rebellion.
It attacks Christendom but then withdraws by the
end of December 2066 when the 1,290
days start their second replay. This period allows the time needed
to escape from the Great City, Christendom, before the reappearance
of the destroying eighth wild beast comes some three years later.
On the 31st of July 70 the Roman armies after inflicting terrible casualties on the Jews, destroy the Jerusalem temple. The desolating Roman armies then stood in the holy place, the place where the temple was. The Jewish religious system centering around the sacrifices and festivals performed at this temple was brought to its end. It was now beyond any dispute that their claims of being a nation exclusively in contract with God were false! It confirmed that God had 34 years earlier torn up their contracts. These lapsed Jewish contracts were worthless to them. The point had finally been battered home.
CHRISTENDOM FOLLOWS PATTERN OF JERUSALEM'S DESTRUCTION
The war was not yet over, the Wild Beast goes on to completely wipe out the world wide organisation of Christendom destroying it to its very foundations plundering its world wide assets, properties, wealth, power and influence all will be removed, everything completely demolished. By mid-September, this war on Christendom is over. From the destruction of its temple center of activities early in July 2070 to destroying its world wide organisations in mid September 2070 is a further period of 45 days.
HAPPY ARRIVING AT THE END OF 1,335 DAY PERIOD
THE CONCLUDING FINAL PART OF THE WORLD SYSTEM,
In 73 the old Jewish sacrificial
arrangement was removed, a new sacrificial arrangement was over riding
it. Removing all traces of the old, the 'new' could be said to have
come into its rightful condition, the full transition had taken place. We now enter a period that deviates its outcome from
the first role play. Daniel 11:29 stated "It will not
come out the same at the last application as it was in the first".
Once Christendom is removed the parties roles change. The
executive role of the 8th world power, illustrated by the Romans
destroying the Jewish religious system at Jerusalem is now changed.
The executing role will be taken over by a new player, the King
of kings.
At Revelation 19:15-21 it
describes the Armageddon war: "The Word of God the King
of kings, rides a white war horse leading his armies. From
his mouth protrudes a sword that he uses to strike the nations".
The 8th world power and its associate nations of the earth
with their nuclear weapons gather to wage war with the one riding
the white horse and his army. The outcome is described from verse
20: "The wild beast (the world's powerful
political nations), its image (the UN?)
and the false prophet (the lamb like democratic world power
and allies, USA?). These earthly ruling organisations, while
still operating are thrown into the burning lake (totally
destroyed) the rest are killed off with the sword of the
one on the white horse".
ARMAGEDDON CASUALTIES GO TO 'DEATH SLEEP'
None throughout human history
infected with the terminal Adamic disease, who died at God's
hand, whether at the flood, the destruction of Jerusalem,
Christendom or the world's nations at Armageddon, will have
had their life totally cut off. So long as they were not guilty
of committing the unforgivable sin, something up to now
only Adam and those ones of the spirit anointed could possible
commit, they are given a second chance. Their death removes Adamic
contamination, the resurrection arrangement provides all mankind
the opportunity to choose who they support. It is over this issue
of "choice" that they will be judged. This opportunity comes for
all who have been acquitted of their sins through suffering the death
penalty (Rom 6:7). Jesus bought 'all' mankind this
second chance to life when he presented himself as a corresponding
ransom for all (1 Tim 2:4-6).
ARMAGEDDON WAR ENDS
EARTHLY KINGDOM THEOCRACY ESTABLISHED.
The next event scheduled will
be the amazing first earthly resurrection
administered by the Kingdom government. Soon after
May 2073 the first earthly resurrection of those approved
could well take place. These ones are 'approved' for an early
resurrection because of their acts of faith and positive actions
in supporting God's theocratic arrangements before they died.
They may have lived at any time during the previous 6,000 years of
human history. They now receive their reward, a privileged earlier
resurrection to human life, they enter into 'God's rest' period of
active service (Hebrews 4:1-11).
THE BETTER RESURRECTION
In order to make this earthly resurrection possible, Paul explains to other spirit anointed Kingdom heirs at Hebrews 11:39-40 "All these..did not get the fulfilment of the promise, as God foresaw something better for us, in order that they might not be made perfect apart from us". To accomplish the promised resurrection of these ones, God first organises the anointed ones to take on the role of kings and also priests. As such these ones will have the authority to apply the resurrecting power of the ransom sacrifice and the value of their own individual sacrifices on behalf of all these others. So it is true when the apostle says "they would not gain their resurrection reward without the help of these former resurrected King-priests".
To wake out of death by means of a resurrection will not be a surprise for these righteous ones such as Abel, Noah, Abraham, Moses, Daniel, John the Baptist etc, it was their expectation. Having paid the death penalty for their Adamic and personal crimes, they will be resurrected with perfect physical bodies, not aged or degenerated ones, it would not be impossible for God to authorise a remake of a partially corrupt body. Although resurrected with fully functioning healthy bodies their education and refining will need to be developed they will need to be brought up to speed and the present situation.
These earthly resurrected theocrats have already proved their willing co-operation with God's plans, yet they will need to be brought up to date on events that developed after they individually died (Mat 22:31, Luke 14:14, John 5:29, John 11:24, and Acts 24:15). This crowd of former witnesses once resurrected join with the Armageddon great crowd of earthly survivors making up a single combined 'flock' of other sheep' (John 10:16 Rev 7:9). Under the direction of the last earthly remaining kings, an earthly theocratic administration structure will be set up subject to the jurisdiction of the heavenly Kingdom government.
The stone built temple at Jerusalem, the centre of Jewish worship, is superseded by a new living stone temple, as Paul plainly pointed out some ten years before the temple was destroyed, he said at Ephesians 2:20 speaking to the spirit anointed Christians living in Ephesus "You have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, while Jesus Christ is the foundation cornerstone. In union with him, the complete building is being harmoniously joined together and is growing into a holy temple for Yahweh. In union with him you too are being built up together into a place for God to inhabit by spirit". This new 'living' temple, constructed with selected people is built in the heavens not on earth.
Jerusalem, the seat of Jewish
administration is superseded by a new heavenly city
administration, as testified by Paul some nine years before
the city of Jerusalem was destroyed. He said to some of the
'adopted Sons' at Hebrews 12:22: "You have approached Mount
Zion..a city of the living God, heavenly Jerusalem, and myriad's
of angels in general assembly, and the congregation of the firstborn
who have been enrolled in the heavens, and God the Judge of all".
This new heavenly city of Jerusalem, will eventually administer
over all creation.
The old symbols being cleared
away in just over three terrible years, the Jewish nation had undergone
an entire annihilation, brought about in three stages.
1st the Jewish religious
system, centred in the Temple was destroyed on 31st July
70.
2nd its governmental and
administrations system completely wiped out by 14th of
September 70.
3rd the Jewish nation
lost all its land and territories by the 20th of May 73.
Everything that God had given
to this nation was stripped away.
By May 2073 this
new temple or sanctuary arrangement is brought to its
condition of completion, constructed of recruited living stones
purchased from the inhabitants of the earth, Daniel 8:14 says: "After 2,300
days the sanctuary (separated place) will be brought into its right
condition". Counting 2,300 days from the 31st
of December 2066 will see the 144,000 completed and fully installed
in the heavens, the last ones transferred instantaneously from
human to spirit beings, then the 'set aside' number is sanctified
in the Kingdom government and it comes into its 'complete condition'
by May 2037. The entire earth will now be sanctified brought into its
right condition.
THE LAMB'S MARRIAGE
Although the template time patterns end in May
2073 this is by no means the end of the plan. As we have already
mapped out, the plan continues through the 1,000 year Kingdom
restoration period and into the following 1,000 years judging
and sorting period of the Great Jubilee. This is discussed
in the next chapter.
